Kasin's feet pounded against the soft ground. Each foot fall seemed deafening compared to the silence around him. No birds sang, not a single squirrel. The sky was grey, dreary...
Small droplets of water landed on his forehead as he ran. His clothing had grown damp by now. His heart pounding from the exercise. He had nothing else better to do. He hadn't talked to anyone in this place, and frankly, he didn't really care to talk to anyone. Of course, the females were an exception. He would talk to them. Not really for a friend, but for more of a short term companionship if you could call it that. If any males decided to come after him for conversation, more than likely they get some of his sarcastic one liners.
He had ran so long that he believed my legs had gone numb. They just made the motion of running by now. Running might have been his favorite thing to do...except for maybe flirting and pushing buttons. His mind had drifted to blankness.
Movement caught his attention. Kasin froze. Something moved a minimal amount in the grass. He edged towards the shifting grass and peered down to see what had caught his eye.
Something small lay in the wet grass. It's fur looked extremely soft. Kasin's hand reached slowly towards it. It shifted and it's long ears laid against its back became visible. A baby rabbit. White in color and fur glistening from the water that had made it through the grass to it. Syyn's hand paused before pulling away from the creature. Maybe he should just leave it alone. Not like he should care about it. He shouldn't have an attachment to the rabbit anyway.
But then again...where was his mother? Was it's mother llike his own? Had she ran off and forgot all about her baby? Syyn's hand reached out again and finally made contact with its fur.
Kasin knelt down next to the rabbit. Each hand wrapping around it and lifting the white bundle of fur from the wet ground. He stood and cradled the baby bunny to his chest. Maybe no one would see him actually being kind to something. But in truth...he felt bad for the rabbit. He seemed to be in the same predicament he himself had been in as a baby.
His feet carried him forward. Bunny still clutched to his chest. Its fur was damp against his bare fingers. Its tiny body shivering. Syyn looked down as he was walking to watch the rabbit burrowing its head into his chest, curling up against his warm body. A smirk crossed Kasin's face just before he looked up at the academy...was he allowed to take the rabbit inside with him? No, probably not...but maybe if no one found out.
